Samajwadi Shravan Yatra

The Samajwadi Shravan Yatra is a pilgrimage or a spiritual journey to a religious place in the country. It was brought to life by the Samajwadi Party Government. This free of cost ‘yatra’ enables senior citizens of the state to take a spiritual journey to their location of faith and belief in a luxury train. Medical aid and basic necessities are provided on the trip to ensure their well-being.

  • Senior citizens from Uttar Pradesh can avail this pilgrimage free of charge.
  • The first trip was to Devbhumi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh.
  • The second trip was to Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar.
  • The third trip was to Rameshwaram and Tirupati.
  • Apart from this, priests who went for the Sindhu Darshan Yatra were given a donation of Rs. 10,000 each.
  • Similarly, priests who returned from the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra were given Rs. 50,000 each.
