The Samajwadi Shravan Yatra is a pilgrimage or a spiritual journey to a religious place in the country. It was brought to life by the Samajwadi Party Government. This free of cost ‘yatra’ enables senior citizens of the state to take a spiritual journey to their location of faith and belief in a luxury train. Medical aid and basic necessities are provided on the trip to ensure their well-being.
Senior citizens from Uttar Pradesh can avail this pilgrimage free of charge.
The first trip was to Devbhumi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh.
The second trip was to Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar.
The third trip was to Rameshwaram and Tirupati.
Apart from this, priests who went for the Sindhu Darshan Yatra were given a donation of Rs. 10,000 each.
Similarly, priests who returned from the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra were given Rs. 50,000 each.
