To help and uplift minority groups of Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party has conceived and implemented multiple schemes. The 2016-17 budget had a lot of provisions for the children and elders of minority groups.
Public graveyards and other funeral places of minority groups will now have four wall boundaries for security and to discourage unlawful trespassing.
Under this scheme, 87,696 graveyards and other funeral places will be covered; out of which four wall construction is complete in 5,314 locations and is underway in 1,121 locations.
The Samajwadi Party aims to meet their targets in the year 2016-17 for which Rs. 400 crores have been sanctioned.
BPL card holders will get financial aid from the state government for the marriage of their daughters.
The amount sanctioned for this has been increased to Rs. 20,000.
