Samajwadi Party Government’s Janeshwar Mishra Yojna aims at equipping rural Uttar Pradesh with better roads and other amenities. This scheme was launched in 2012 and since then provisions have been made for construction of cement concrete roads, improved drainage systems, drinking water, electricity, solar energy, lights, and electrification in the selected villages.
1488 villages were selected in 2012-13.
1452 villages were selected in 2013-14.
1000 villages were selected in 2014-15.
Each village is sanctioned Rs. 40 lakh for various development projects.
