Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Samagra Gram Vikas Yojna

In Uttar Pradesh, almost 79% of the population is rural. To ensure the overall growth of the state, the Samajwadi Party Government is running multiple schemes. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Samahra Vikas Yojan is being implemented to develop the most backward villages in Uttar Pradesh.

  • Under this scheme, in a period of 5 years, the Samajwadi Party Government is aiming to equip 10,000 villages with 34 Infrastructure and Beneficiary oriented programmes running through 18 departments.
  • The areas which lack infrastructure, electricity, potable water, sanitary measures etc. will be taken care by the Samajwadi Party Government.
  • In the year 2012-13, 1598 villages were covered.
  • In 2013-14, 2104 villages benefitted.
  • 2098 villages were equipped in 2014-15.
  • In 2015-16, 2100 villages were selected and connected to other villages under this scheme.
  • Till March 2016, 1079.7 Km of CC Road and KC drain has been made
