Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh
November 20, 2011

Samajwadi Party Spokesperson, Rajendra Chowdhary said today that with UP Assembly election around the corner, both Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party have rolled out their election plans, which are no more than just gimmicks.
Congress has announced a relief package of 3884 crore for weavers and another package of Rs 6234 crore under other development heads. The Congress government is also working out a plan for pleasing the minority community and Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. However, the Congress government is not being able to come up with solutions of answers to rising prices, inflation and corruption.
Shri Chowdhary also pointed out that Chief Minister Mayawati has not done anything in last four and a half years for the development of the state. During her tenure, every section of the society has faced problems of under development. The youth of the state has faced severe unemployment and women feel unsafe during her regime. The government has done nothing for the sake of development in the state. No power plants have been set up in the state, no new universities have been sanctioned or set up and the farmers have not got a proper price for their crop. Farmers have also faced illegal land acquisition.
Shri Chowdhary has requested the Election Commission to ensure that free and fair elections take place in the state.
